“A DAY IN SOUTHTOWN”, the district’s annual celebration of the creativity and small business housed within Southtown’s five neighborhoods showcases Member events highlighting their originality. Their mission is to offer unique and exciting incentives to shop, eat, drink, get fit, and have fun at the many galleries, shops, restaurants and bars. The day also showcases FREE art workshops and open studio opportunities offered by the Districts many professional artists and local nonprofits. The evening culminates with the Second Saturday Artwalk in the Lone Star neighborhood at the corner of Lone Star and S. Flores. People are encouraged to bike, walk, skate to events. An easy way to connect to everything is by utilizing our San Antonio waterways: the San Antonio River and Alazan Creek.
“A DAY IN SOUTHTOWN” is an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to come out and celebrate with the creative community that has demonstrated it’s sustainability as a collective for over the last 25 years. An open house, for you, the public. See you there!
