MISSION
With over 25 years of experience in street art culture, The San Antonio Street Art Initiative’s mission is to introduce and educate the local community about street and mural art. The initiative focuses on assisting local artists who would like to participate in highly visible community projects that showcase their artwork on a larger scale. The initiative also forefronts bringing in world renowned artists to San Antonio in an effort to showcase a variety of artwork within this genre to the community.

The San Antonio Street Art Initiative’s goal is to establish a city where mural art is abundant and accessible for all residents and visitors to enjoy. This begins by developing a walkable friendly area in the city featuring a concentrated number of murals that will draw daily foot traffic, cycling and visitors looking for alternative recreational experiences beyond traditional tourist routes and attractions. Once this area is established, the initiative will host multiple projects and events that will serve as artistic and culturally significant celebrations of this area and genre of art.
