Five neighborhoods. One Creative Community.

“A DAY IN SOUTHTOWN”  is the district’s FREE annual celebration of creativity and community where each of Southtown’s five exceptional neighborhoods host a FREE community celebration to compliment and celebrate who they are! Come out and enjoy a day in public spaces! Attend FREE art educational workshops and open studio opportunities offered by the Districts many professional artists and local nonprofits. Explore museums, visit local galleries, shop among artisans, savor culinary eats, sample distillery drinks, enjoy mindful fitness, and have fun while supporting the local arts scene! To wrap things up, head into the evening with the Second Saturday Artwalk in the Lone Star neighborhood. Let’s celebrate the creative community that has demonstrated it’s sustainability as a collective for over 25 years. An open house, for you, the public. See you there!

HOW TO GET AROUND People are encouraged to bus, bike, walk,  and even scooter to events. An easy way to connect to everything is by utilizing our San Antonio waterways: the San Antonio River and Alazan Creek.

Check back for 2019 updates.
